I cannot understand why people are in love with Chipotle. They don't use salt on ANY of their fixings, and no matter how you prepare it, your burrito, taco, or bowl will ALWAYS come out COLD. Who likes cold burritos? Cold tacos? Absolutely stupid. They should heat all burritos and melt the cheese and at least keep the hot fillings HOT, so that when they mix the pico, lettuce, and salsa, it remains hot.
Not to mention it's overpriced. How is a burrito worth $8.50? It's a tortilla and about a dollar's worth of fillings. The tacos are a RIP OFF. They don't offer any rice or beans, just corn and meat. Of course, no ground beef like a normal taco, just chewy, unflavored, unfatty "steak". Probably "chuck" steak from walmart.
Worst of all, the only ingredient that actually has any flavor, guacamole/avocado, is not even done properly (where's the red onions, cilantro, and tomatoes?) and it costs $2 extra! They didn't add any flavor to the guac, it's basically just mashed up avocados... and why is it TWO dollars extra? They only cost $0.10 per avocado or less buying in bulk, and they give you a little scoop which is about 1/2 of an avocado. That means it's now a $11 burrito with tax. People who eat here regularly are suckers and enjoy wasting money on flavorless food.
If anyone thinks this food is flavorful, they are probably used to eating mcdonalds, burger king, and QT sandwiches. Even compared to them, Chipotle is only better because they use whole food ingredients.
I give them 1 star for whole food ingredients, 1 star for non-GMO. 2 out of 5 stars. In fact, those are 2 very good benefits, but with a crappy recipe, it does not overcome the blandness which hits your tongue upon each bite.
