Before working at chipotle I worked right next door to a location that had to come over and barrow ice. My manager at this burger place was understanding and let them come through the back, but we were all surprised when we saw the two employees shoveling ice into the rolling trash barrels WITHOUT A LINER!!!!
Time went on and eventually parting with the burger job I came to work at a chipotle a few miles down the street. From the get go I knew that management would be awful as they hired me (so I quit the job I currently had) but waited to put me on the schedule for a full 2 and a half weeks despite them saying they were ready for me!
Finally making it onto the schedule it took an additional 4 shifts (a span of 7 days) for management to print my card to clock in. They put me on prep as I had some experience but refused to teach me the "chipotle way" or teach me the recipes. Yet they felt the need to be condensending to me because I was moving "too slow" (I had a ganglion cyst causing pain in my wrist on my right hand making it painful to chop the onions and peppers at the time) this all happened in my first week and from there all the managers decided they didn't like me and wanted to shit can me but they hadn't found a reason to yet. After the first week they cut my hours down to two days, then after 2 weeks down to 1 day a week, and as of this week I got 0 hours (even though they had me on the schedule for two shifts) that's right, I would drive 20 minutes to work and be on the schedule for the GM to send me home before even clocking in because "I'm sorry, I messed up the schedule". While I'm make $0 this week the other prep person got 35 hours and the GM hired two new people for prep. Luz the GM plays favorites, she's fake and shows no integrity. Who ever promoted her must be about the same. I've worked good jobs, I've worked bad, but working at Chipotle is the worse job you could ever have. At least at these two Houston Tx locations. Time to look for a new job.
