They proudly put on their display of being Eco-friendly do-gooders. They sure do have a lot of supporters that are drinking the Chipotle kool-aid. However, if you do the research there's a reason they're so profitable (wish I had invested) and it's not because of their vegetarian-fed meats or local vegetables. It's paid slavery.

Upon working at Chipotle you will be told what a restaurateur is. Your goal is to become one. By doing so you need to correct your C-7, get your labor hours within the matrix, keep the store immaculately clean, and hire the right people. To correct your c-7 you need to tell your employees to watch their portions and to ring up correctly, but when you don't charge extra for cheese or a little meat "hook a brotha up"...your c7 gets fucked and there's nothing you can do about it even though your area manager is breathing down your neck to do so. Next thing is labor hours: do more with less people. So even if it's a busy Saturday and your labor is messed up you need to start sending people home and suck it up for the large rush. You will be given goals to clean everything in the store at some point. Especially all the stainless steel...you will undoubtedly get degreaser in your eyes when you're cleaning out the grill area. Hiring the right people means you need to get rid of the low performers. Your area manager will come in and ask you who your "top 5" are. Even though you don't want to throw anybody under the bus they will not let you go until you give them a name. They will hang on that name and tag them as the next person to be fired at will. They say they have a system of checks and balances such as development journals/write ups/performance reviews to make a decision, but they don't. I was fired with two performance reviews stating I was an excellent worker and that I was above expectations in every category, and never received a write-up or verbal warning for my low performance. I was a KMIT making $8.65/hr and being groomed to become a KM for a whopping .50 cent raise. Good thing they removed me before I removed myself from that store.

P.S. There are no local farmers supplying vegetables/fruits to Chipotle: I worked in Michigan (plenty of farms in this state) and all of our products came from California or south America.

*People have this idea of Chipotle being healthy: It's not. Read how many calories are in a tortilla alone, or how many mg's of sodium they put into EVERYTHING. Even the chicken is not lean. As far as
