i still fucking work there, only 2 months in and already on this site!

first, lets sabotage the expansion of chipotle by not allowing ourselves to be coerced into being managers! i mean, what the hell indicates that id be a good manager anyway?? i cant even imagine. id be horrible and i know they at least kind of know it. but i heard they dont hire people who show no interest in becoming a manager. not like i had a chance to choose in my interview, i just sat there and smiled and nodded while she went on and on about how great it is to be a manager. but the real reason she hired me, i found out through the burrito vine, is because im pretty. wow. is that why im on tortilla evvvery day and am never allowed to leave the line to pee or have a cup of water???

anyway. they keep forcing me and 2 others who started with me to start training. the others have submitted (around week 3!) but my excuse is that i want to be excellent at what i do in order to be a great km instead of being a km for the sake of being a km. ha! its worked so far. and yes im well familiar with the benefits of being a manager. and yes i still want to take my time. getting us trained must be a factor in getting restauranteur because thats allllllll my gm thinks about. she wants that fuckin 5000 (or is it10,000?) bonus rill bad. at chip talk the other day when she was going on about it again i actually said, wow if i got that bonus i would still be living significantly below the poverty line! they cant fire me for at least 2 weeks because were at minimum staff! so im getting surly. that said, dont tell me when i have a legit migraine that i need to set aside some money for my meds that cost $22 per pill!!! if it werent for work meals i wouldnt be able to afford to eat! fucking hire someone and let me go home!!! 12 days in a row of 8-11 hr days is not healthy!! but no, no one is good enough to hire. not the underpaid 40 year old mexican lady who has worked there 8 years, or the hilarious and friendly black dude with 4 years. nope. better fire them because they dont take criticism, and hire a rich white kid who drives a 2010 volvo convertible.

i wont go into how fucking overly specific the procedures are... if youve seen the videos you know to sprinkle salt on the chips in a bullseye motion!!! good god people. no joke , the regional guy came in today and ordered someone to get a dime from the register so he could measure the pieces of chicken the km was cutting. but of course, like others have pointed out, all instructions are given like theyre fucking gospel but reliably conflict with the last time they were given to you by someone else.

can we talk about food with integrity? ugh, i hate that semi-weekly quiz. but seriously. there is no legal definition of "natural" which is most of what they erroneously call organic. even then, all it is is citrus juice, cilantro, and half the beans. big fucking deal! hormone-free dairy and vegetarian-fed animals, sure, sweet, but to so far as to put that on our shirts, launch an ad campaign, and do the whole gold wrapper thing is more than misleading, its just plain false!!!

for the record, im the only vegetarian in the store but im ordered to do chicken and carnitas, the 2 worst, faaar more than anyone else.

felt really good to get this off my chest. im sure ill post another in due time. i have must more to say.

i want to quit soooooo bad but i cant afford to and work too much to have time to look for another job!!!! sneaky tactic, chapoddle.
